What to Bring to Child Care

Starting child care is an exciting step for your child and your family. At 1912 Child Care & Early Learning Centre in Devonport, we aim to make each day as smooth and comfortable as possible by helping you prepare with everything your child needs.

Knowing what to bring to child care ensures your child feels confident, settled, and ready to learn, play, and explore throughout the day. From spare clothes to comfort items, having the right essentials packed helps support your child’s routine and wellbeing.

Below is a simple guide to what your child may need each day at our Devonport early learning centre. If you’re ever unsure, our friendly team is always here to help.

Nursery (6 weeks to 2 years)

What to bring:

1. Two (2) complete spare set of clothes and extra singlets
2. Items the baby is attached to i.e. dummy, teddy bear, etc.
3. Sunhat
4. Formula/Expressed milk and bottles, Drink Cup

What we provide:

1. Morning Tea
2. Lunch
3. Afternoon Tea
4. Nappies
5. Baby Wipes
6. Sunscreen

Junior Kindy (2-3 years)

What to bring:

1. Complete spare set of clothes + extra if your child is toilet training
2. Items your child is attached to i.e. dummy, teddy bear, etc
3. Sunhat
4. Formula/Expressed milk and bottles, Drink Cup
5. Cot sheet set flat and fitted & blanket

What we provide:

1. Morning Tea
2. Lunch
3. Afternoon Tea
4. Nappies
5. Baby Wipes
6. Sunscreen

Junior Pre-School (2½ – 3½ years)

What to bring:

1. Complete spare set of clothes + extra if your child is toilet training
2. Sunhat
3. Drink Cup
4. Cot sheet set flat and fitted & blanket (if your child has a sleep)

What we provide:

1. Morning Tea
2. Lunch
3. Afternoon Tea
4. Nappies
5. Baby Wipes
6. Sunscreen

Pre-School (3½ – school age)

What to bring:

1. Complete spare set of clothes + extra if your child is toilet training
2. Sunhat
